Hi everyone! This week is another simple mani. I’ve been super lazy lately and am enjoying the more..simple look. Besides with dark colors I think it’s almost better to have a simpler manicure.
I went with a very dark red leaning brownish bronze. It could easily be mistaken for black in dim lighting but don’t be fooled it is a dark luscious red! Makes me think of a vampire nail polish 🙂 I used sinful colors rich in heart and for the accent I used sinful colors all about you over the rich in heart. The application was smooth and very opaque. Only needed two coats and if you are a super skilled manicurest (I think I just made me own word?) then it could be a one coater!
Hope you guys enjoy this color!
Hey girls. Today I am going to stray away from nail polish and introduce some make up I just bought. I’m on a tight budget so I can’t buy the nice expensive make up and I say you don’t really need to anyways. I was in dollar general to quick get some hair spray and I said to myself, we’ll you can at least take a look at their make up selection.. So I browsed around and found some nice colored blush by L.A. Colors and they were only $2 so I said why not? If I don’t like it then at least it wasn’t expensive right? I got two single blushes and a dual blush and then a four color palette of baked eye shadow.
First up is called Blushing Pink
BC142- it’s a bright pinky color with a slight shimmer. I think this would look adorable against a very fair complexion like a porcelain doll. I am very fair skinned 🙂
Next is called Natural BC141- I would describe it as a more natural looking rose color. Like a dusky rose color if that makes any sense? I think it would make someone appear more mature.
Next is the dual blush called papaya/nutmeg BDB391- these are even more natural colors I think. More of neutral tones and would really highlight the cheekbone without looking like you have blush on. I think it will make my face appear…softer looking.
And last are the eye shadows called praline BBE471- I love these colors! There is a white, a gold/bronze brown, a dark brown and a reddish copper color. They are all baked so they are super shimmery. I can not wait to try them. The white would highlight the tear duct and brow bone so nicely I think while the copper color would add a punch of color to the lid. And of course you could smoke it out with the bronze and darker brown.
I will be using them throughout this week and will be taking pictures as I do so you can see how they look on my skin. After that I will be a review on application and what the wear is like throughout the day. So stay tuned! I apologize for being terrible at descriptions also! Hope you guys all have a wonderful evening!
Ps the single blushes come with a mirror built into them and come with a application brush. I won’t be using the application brush bc it is just too coarse and just not good quality. I will keep them in my makeup box just in case I absolutely need one though! You never know 🙂
Hey guys! This week I was going to do another gradient effect mani but I didn’t feel like all the clean up and I’ll be honest I didn’t feel like doing anything special so I went with a color I have but haven’t used yet.
It’s called I’m a pool for love by Nicole OPI. I think it’s from a spring collection? My sister and law gave it to me so I’m not 100% sure what collection. It’s a super dark purple blue. It looks black in dim lighting but has an awesome blue/purple glimmer. I wanted to add some sparkle as usual. So I used a silver holographic looking sparkle from funky fingers. I love this glitter! It’s so sparkly and it’s silver but sparkles like a rainbow!
I used two coats for this color. Application was smooth and its not super thick. Two thin coats is perfect for me. Topped off with seche vite. Let me tell you I could not capture the color of this polish for the life of me. Some are blurry to show the purple blue glimmer. Hope you guys like it 🙂
I think it’s a bit dark for me. I might take it off in a couple days but I do like the color in general.
Hey ladies! I’m still not sick of the gradient/ombre theme so I have yet another one for this week. I really love the coloring that peacocks have and I wanted to give that color scheme a try with the gradient effect. I used an emerald green, a royal purple blue, dark purple and a gold. On my ring finger I added a copper glitter just to add some more sparkle. You can use any brand and shade you want but the exact polishes I used are….
China glaze – running in circles
Pure Ice – deja vu
Sally hansen hard as nails – rock bottom
Sally hansen – golden I
Sinful colors – all about you
Over all I like this mani and it came out decent. I messed up a tiny bit but I would be the only one who can notice it. I love the colors together. The only problem I had was deja vu and rock bottom seem to be pretty sheer and I had to sponge several times before it would show up on top of the green. But other than that it reminds me of a peacock! Here’s the pics and I hope you enjoy!
